I Do Sodo 2018
- Mar 8, 2018
On February 11th, Seattle’s newest wedding show returned for its third year. Pedersen’s played a bigger part in I Do Sodo 2018, taking on the Showbox Sodo venue and working with an amazing team to transform the space into a design inspired by the classic Stevie Nicks' hit, “Leather and Lace”.
The I Do Sodo wedding showcase gives couples the chance to tour eight beautiful venues in the historic Sodo neighborhood. All of the venues possess architectural charm and unique details that include wood, concrete, metals, and blends of modern and vintage construction.
The Showbox Sodo is no exception with its exposed brick and wood-beam architecture. It was the perfect venue for our leather and lace design! We were lucky to have Mary Kahlor Photography and Without End Films capture the details of the show from beginning to end.

To play on the leather and lace theme, the 1,800-capacity showroom was split into two sides. The dark side, which represented the leather, featured darker tones, hardware décor and branch-heavy florals. It was a modern and edgier look. The light side, which represented the lace, had a traditional Pacific Northwest rustic feel. It featured natural tones, farm tables, vineyard chairs, and table runners full of greenery. One of our favorite features was a one of a kind aisle runner, which displayed handwritten calligraphy by Sablewood Paper Company.

Foodz Catering provided a delicious brunch menu. Some of the Pedersen’s team created menu signs out of saws and Knox Standard provided the menu calligraphy. The result was a beautiful rustic display with drool-worthy food!

Along with that gorgeous aisle runner, Sablewood Paper Company created dreamy custom menus and name cards for each table.

The Cakewalk Shop crafted the perfect leather and lace cakes!

Balloon designers created some pretty fantastic balloon bubbles perfect for celebrating!

Move on over cakes, make way for the macarons! Sugarette City made some of the I Do Sodo guests very happy with their delicious macarons.

ROCKARAOKE provided fun live entertainment and Fun Frames Photobooth ensured that guests had a memorable token to take home with them.

Thanks to everyone that came out and to all of the participating vendors, it was a blast!
