The Perfect Elegant Yet Eerie Halloween Dinner Party!

Who says Halloween is only for kids?! It's a great time to get together with friends and entertain! To help inspire you, we’ve put together an ominous yet elegant graveyard inspired design.

We decided to shy away from a traditional orange and black color palette and opted for cooler, "dead" tones. We found a couple of skulls and a great wooden gravestone to pull colors from and used lots of natural light and various textures to keep things beautiful and inviting. The final color pallete included neutral grays, tans, whites and pops of black. It created a wonderfully eerie mood while maintaining the perfect touch of elegance.

For the linen, we went with Crushed White Velvet. The velvet is full of texture and created the perfect ghostly vibes. We then chose Grey Napkins to compliment the silver of the decor and tied them together with Black Napkin Wraps.

To play off of the skulls, we decided to incorporate stoneware. Its smooth texture and slightly asymmetrical shape added a bone-like feel to this graveyard table. We mixed and matched all three colors of the stoneware including our Linen Stoneware Charger, Grey Stoneware Dinner Plate, and 9" Black Stoneware Coupe Bowl (which added the perfect pop of contrast)!

With an almost medieval look, Vintage Flatware was the only choice for this design. It reflected the white from the linen, the black from the stoneware, and will eventually reflect the red from the wine once the glasses are full!

To tie everything together, we went with Black Chivari Chairs. They added the perfect mix of spooky elegance and tied in with the black stoneware and black ceramic spiders!
