J + M's Sunshine Coast Micro Wedding
- Aug 24, 2020
An oceanfront cottage on the B.C Sunshine Coast was the perfect location for this intimate wedding. Getting married during 2020 has been a challenge to say the least but this couple managed to pull of their perfect wedding in a safe way due to one main factor: they kept it small.
With only 14 people, the guest list consisted of their immediate families, who were in their Covid bubble, plus each of their best friends. The couple plans to celebrate with the rest of their family and friends at a later date when it is safe to do so.
The theme behind this design was all things natural and organic. Five 4ft tables were set up to create a long spacious table beside the ocean. Stonewash Linen and Dark Wood Folding Chairs were chosen as the base for this natural design. The linen has a heavy weight and beautiful texture, and the chairs have a natural brown tone that fit in perfectly with the outdoor setting.
The tabletop featured mix matched Linen Stoneware Charger Plates with Grey Stoneware Dinner Plates and mix matched Brushed Silver/Grey Velo Flatware with Brushed Silver Flatware. Medium Winelovers Glasses along with a Stemless All-Purpose Glass were chosen to fit the relaxed feel of this special day.
To help minimize the number of people on site, everyone in attendance did something to contribute. The MOH built a custom wedding arch for the couple and everyone helped hang string lights. The bride sourced some Deep Cove Brewery growlers from her home town to use for the centerpieces, which she put together herself. Every aspect of the day was simple and perfect, and everyone in attendance played a part in making it so.
