Tips for Creating a 2020 Thanksgiving Table

As Thanksgiving approaches, it’s clear that large, traditional Thanksgiving gatherings won’t be happening this year. Although there’s no way to replace the friends and family you’ll miss, you can still create a festive table to enjoy with your immediate family.

Here are five simple ways to create a warm harvest table this Thanksgiving!

1. Incorporate rentals with household items to make your table feel extra special for the holidays! Renting a festive tablecloth, beautiful china or glassware will help give your table that holiday feeling. Don’t forget, by using rentals you don’t have to worry about cleaning dishes!

Be creative, you can mix and match some rental items with your regular dinnerware to achieve the same feeling. For example, if you rent chargers and pair them with your regular white plates, you can change the mood of your entire table.

2. Thanksgiving is traditionally about being thankful for the harvest of the previous year. To pay tribute to that, feature harvest type vegetables like mini pumpkins, squash and corn as table décor.

3. An easy way to create a design that looks and feels like Thanksgiving is to choose a harvest color and incorporate throughout the table design. Here we chose orange and incorporated it through mini pumpkins and napkins.

4. As dinner won’t be as large this year, you probably won’t need large serving dishes. Instead, serve all those delicious side dishes in regular dinner bowls! For this table, we used Linen Stoneware Soup Bowls. They’re nice and deep and have a beautiful organic feel which fits in perfectly with the harvest design.

5. Finally, add wood touches to add warmth to any dining experience. Make your personal dinner plates feel more festive by pairing them with rented Walnut Charger Plates. You can also serve appetizers on our Wood Slice Chargers or Bamboo Platters. Simply place them around the harvest décor and your table will look and feel wonderful!
